We offer up to three daily departures from Gullfoss Café, where you can conveniently park your car and enjoy a bite to eat before the tour begins. The drive in our super truck through Iceland’s rugged, Mars-like landscape is an adventure in itself. Be sure to soak in the vast countryside and dramatic mountain scenery along the way.
At our glacier base camp, you’ll be equipped with all the necessary snowmobiling gear. Before setting off, our friendly and knowledgeable guides will provide clear instructions on operating the snowmobiles and go over all safety procedures.
Then it’s time to rev up your engine and head into the icy wilderness, an awe-inspiring winter wonderland you won’t forget.

Departing from Gullfoss Café
We offer daily departures from Gullfoss Café, where you can conveniently park your car and enjoy a bite to eat before the adventure begins. From there, our monster truck will take you up to the Langjökull glacier. Traveling through Iceland’s rugged landscape, a geologically young land by global standards, is an adventure in itself. As you look out the window, you’ll see vast, sparsely populated countryside with minimal signs of development, a rare and refreshing sight for many visitors.
Upon arrival at our glacier hut, you’ll be provided with all the necessary gear, including helmets, overalls, overshoes, gloves, and a hat. Our friendly and experienced guides will then give you a full briefing on how to operate the snowmobiles and go over all safety procedures before you head off into the snowy wilderness.
Our snowmobiles are designed for two riders, and children aged six and up are welcome to join the tour as passengers.
Relaxed sightseeing snowmobile ride
This tour is often a very relaxed ride on the glacier in a group. If you are seeking more of a thrill and want to go fast, you can check out our “Glacier Rush” tour – the same pickup location, same hours, totally different snowmobiles and faster pace.
The meeting point is at the upper parking lot at Gullfoss, just outside the area where the restaurant and shops are located.
The drive from Reykjavík to the Gullfoss meeting point takes approximately 2 hours.
